Insurance & Managed Care
We are committed to providing you the care you deserve. We are happy to
work with you to maximize your insurance benefits. However, because it
would make it impossible to provide you with proper care, we do not belong
to all insurance programs. If you have a PPO or HMO program that restricts
your choice of providers, we probably are not on their provider list.
Please do not confuse the proper treatment for you with that for which your
insurance may provide benefits. Insurance can be a great help, but the
company is in business to make a profit. They may not understand nor be
concerned about the treatment that is best for you. Do not let them
dictate care for you. You should realize that, at a certain point, you may
have to be financially responsible. It always pays in the long run.
While we will work with you to get the most benefit from your insurance
company, we can only do so much. Insurance policies vary widely and we
cannot always know in advance the extent or timing of their benefits.
Please understand that this is your insurance, acquired by you or your
employer. My office has no contract with them and
we can only do our best as a provider. Our contract is with you to care
for you in the best possible way.
